Microblading Aftercare information

This document is designed to help you achieve the best possible treatment results. Please read in full.

FOR THE FIRST DAY

It is important to follow proper aftercare treatment for best results.

  • Be advised that the colour is up to 50% darker immediately after your microblading treatment. The colour will lighten after roughly four to seven days post treatment. The true healed colour of your permanent makeup will not come through until roughly four to six weeks post treatment. Under no circumstances should you have further treatment undertaken within the six-week healing period.

  • If swelling occurs, a cloth covered icepack may be used on the treated area to help comfort.

DAILY AFTERCARE

This advice is recommended for the first week post treatment or until the treated area is healed.

  • Always ensure your hands are washed and sanitised prior to touching your brows or applying aftercare balms.

  • Apply balm up to four times a day or when the skin feels tight and itchy, pat excess balm away with a clean cotton pad. (Please be advised not to apply lots of balm, the oils can cause the ink to blur hindering crisp lines).

  • If your brows get wet, pat dry and do not rub them.

DO NOTS

  • Mild itching is normal, do not scratch peel or pick your brows, this can cause loss of pigment and uneven healing, infection and even scarring. Allow your brows to flake on their own.

  • Do not apply makeup on your brows whilst the skin is broken.

  • Do not expose your brows to extreme temperatures, or moisture for two weeks following your treatment, this can include direct sunlight, tanning beds, saunas, Jacuzzis, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, hot water, skincare or ointments other than what you have been told to use.

  • Do not undergo any activities that may cause perspiration.
